As a ballet school run by a former medical doctor, Dance Out Loud is committed to keeping you safe when you are dancing with us. We are a COVID secure venue, and are ready to deliver our magical programs in a considered and careful way.
Here are some of the things that we are doing to keep you safe:
- – limiting class numbers. – social distancing in class- cleaning before and after each class- limiting the use of props and cleaning or quarantining any props used- modifying lessons so that dancers keep separate from each other and aren’t travelling around the room We don’t recommend anyone to come along to ballet if they are shielding until it is deemed safe for them to do so.
When you come to ballet:
1. Please wait outside until your teacher invites you inside the building. No queuing or waiting inside please.
Dancers in Dance With Me and Butterfly Ballet will enter the building together with a parent
Fairy/Stomp/Tutu/Academy Ballet dancers will say goodbye to their parent at the door and enter with the teacher to make their way to class.
2. Use hand sanitiser on entry and exit from the building. Grownups are to wear a face covering in the building until they arrive in the studio room where we have enough space for social distancing.
3. Your dancer will choose a coloured spot when they enter the studio room. This will be their ‘spot’ for the lesson, and acts as a coral reef, a Swan Lake, a flower in bloom, and a Dragon Cave! Drink bottles will be placed against the wall immediately next to this spot. Shoes can be changed here if necessary.
At the end of the lesson, your teacher will direct you on how to leave safely.
In some busy classes, we may employ a parent helper to direct dancers in and out of the building.
